Product Introduction
Ultra-high-temperature welding blanket is made of high-performance fire-resistant and high-temperature-resistant fibers as reinforced substrate, selected nano-polymer materials and fire-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials, and prepared through a special process. It is a high-performance, multi-purpose fire prevention and fire extinguishing tool, with excellent aging resistance, corrosion resistance, insulation, and excellent fire resistance and flame retardancy, ablation resistance and high temperature resistance, good anti-welding effect, easy to operate, and is widely used in factories, power plants, automobile manufacturing, new energy batteries, construction, renovation and other welding fire places, as well as in chemical factories, explosive factories and other high fire places.
Product Features
- Extreme temperature resistance: The maximum softening point temperature approaches 1700℃. Under static conditions at 1000℃ for 1 hour, no vitrification occurs, with instantaneous heat resistance reaching 1450℃. Temperature resistance characteristics vary across different product series.
- Fireproof and flame retardant: 1000℃ torch spray burns 90 minutes without burning through, flame retardant performance up to B1 level (GB 8624-2012), fire up to A1 level (GB8624-2012 standards),Ablation resistance varies from series to series.
- Low thermal conductivity, dimensional stability: Low thermal conductivity, heat insulation and heat preservation, no deformation at high temperature.
- Aging resistance, corrosion resistance: Resistant to heat aging, climate aging, acid and alkali and organic solvents.
- High temperature insulation: It has excellent insulating properties under high temperature conditions, and has some insulation protection for cables and human body under high temperature fire sources.
- High strength, good airtightness, machinability: High strength, good flexibility, easy to cut, good sealing, conducive to fire and smoke.

Due to different material ignition point is not the same, the flame temperature by the type of material, the degree of combustion, oxygen concentration and flame parts and other different factors, non-professionals are difficult to grasp the material site combustion temperature and so on, so it is recommended that consumers use the higher temperature resistance level, resistance to ablation type (burned) welding blanket, to realize the downward compatibility, the freedom to extinguish the fire. Main Uses
- Used as an active fire prevention tool in places prone to fire hazards such as welding, cutting, etc.
It is used as a fireproof tool to isolate sparks and slag and establish a safe working space in places prone to fire such as electric welding and cutting. In the welding workplace, cover the items that need protection with welding blankets to prevent sparks, arcs and cutting spatters from causing fires.
- Preventing the rapid cooling of welding and improving the welding process
Used in ship, petrochemical and other industries to insulate and protect against rapid cooling and to improve the electric welding process.
- Used as an initial fire-fighting tool in fire-prone areas
When a fire occurs, it is used as a fire extinguishing tool to cover the source of fire and block the air to extinguish it.
Welding Blanket Fire Protection Principle
Welding blanket itself is high temperature resistant, non-combustible in case of fire, and resistant to ablation, so welding blanket can play the role of fireproof and heat insulation within the scope of its own welding working conditions to achieve the purpose of fire prevention in the welding place. Different levels of products have different fire performance, according to their own needs to choose.
Usage
In the welding workplace to protect the items that need to be covered with welding blankets to prevent damage to the objects due to welding sparks, arcs, cutting spatters, and so on, and even produce fire. It can be used as an active fire prevention tool in places where welding and cutting are prone to fire hazards.
Selection of fireproof welding blankets (recommended)
- In order to enhance the fireproof effect when welding, multi-layer composite fireproof welding blanket should be used;
- Fireproof welding blankets can achieve different effects after different coatings, such as waterproof, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, oil-resistant and so on;
- Covering objects and equipments, the fireproof blanket with soft texture and toughness should be selected;
- Thickness less than 0.6mm welding blanket should be used vertically, horizontal use should choose a thickness greater than 0.6mm welding blanket. (See specification table for specific models)
