Fire Blanket Materials
Sep 16, 2025
Fire blankets are made of wool and aluminum fiber. Wool is a natural fiber material with excellent flame retardancy. In the event of a fire, wool decomposes and produces a carbonized layer. This layer quickly forms a protective barrier, shielding against oxygen, heat, and flames, slowing the spread of flames. Aluminum fiber is also a common flame retardant material. Due to its low melting point, aluminum fiber melts quickly when exposed to high temperatures and tightly wraps around the fire source, preventing it from spreading.
